A City of Balanced Chaos
Our Guide to Marrakech

We travelled to Marrakech to shoot our SS26 campaign, drawn by a place shaped by contrast. Order and chaos. Stillness and movement. Tradition and modernity existing side by side.
Morocco has a way of grounding you visually and emotionally. Terracotta tones, desert horizons, deep blues, and the geometry of courtyards all speak the same language. One of balance, restraint, and intention. Every environment feels composed, not styled, but lived in.
For us, travel has always been part of how we understand design. Marrakech reminded us that inspiration does not come from excess, but from clarity. From culture, craft, and the way people welcome you into their rhythm.
Below are some of the places and things we experienced.

Stay
Maison Brummell
Located in a calmer part of Marrakech, close to Le Jardin Majorelle, Maison Brummell feels like a pause. Architecturally refined, quiet, and beautifully considered. Ideal if you want distance from the city’s intensity without leaving it behind.
Berber Lodge
A thirty minute drive outside Marrakech, set on a hillside overlooking desert plains. Berber Lodge is about space and perspective. A place to step away from the city’s energy and reconnect with yourself.

What to experience
Le Jardin Majorelle and YSL Museum
Go in the morning. The light is softer, the pace slower. Walk through the garden, then into Yves Saint Laurent’s former retreat. A space where color, craft, and calm coexist. A reminder that inspiration often comes from leaving, not arriving.
The Medina
Chaotic, intense, and impossible to ignore. Wandering the Medina feels like stepping centuries back in time. This is where negotiation becomes a language and curiosity your compass.
Mountain trail run
If you are staying at Berber Lodge, bring running shoes. A run through the hills opens up wide views of the desert plains and offers rare mental clarity. Movement as a way of thinking.
Quad biking in the desert
Feel like Lisan al-Gaib in Dune and ride the sandworm, also known as a quad bike, through the desert outside Marrakech. Watch the sun set over the plains before heading back to Berber Lodge for a local lamb chop dinner and complete stillness.

Eat & Drink
Nomad
A rooftop restaurant in the heart of the Medina. Come here to catch your breath above the movement below. Elevated Moroccan dishes done well. Max went for the lamb and was pleasantly surprised. No alcohol is served here, but you will not miss it.
Café des Épices
An oasis in the middle of the Medina. Perfect for lunch if you want to be surrounded by energy without being consumed by it. Traditional tajine, warm hospitality, and a place we would return to.
Limoni
Traditional Moroccan food in a beautifully layered interior. Teal tones, plants, and a calm atmosphere that invites you to stay longer than planned.
Mint tea
Do not leave Marrakech without it. Served everywhere, but never the same. Sweet, fresh, and ritualistic. Mint tea here is more than a drink. It is an invitation to slow down, to stay present, and to linger a little longer.

View over Rahba Lakdima
Marrakech reminds you that contrast creates character. That movement needs stillness. And that belonging can happen far from home.
